This mini PC, extremely quiet and with excellent performance, adopts components with low energy consumption and an excellent cooling system: the Minisforum X300 integrates a 45 watt cooling solution, which allows the equipment to maintain a good level of temperature while emitting only 30 dBA of maximum noise. It produces practically no sound during operation except when under heavy load and the fan is running at full speed, and it plays 4K video without any problems. It is an ideal mini PC for home office, gaming, watching movies or just browsing the web.
The device is equipped with four USB 3.0 ports (one 3.1), a mini audio jack, DisplayPort 1.2 and HDMI 2.0 video outputs, and two RJ-45 network connectors. Inside we find two DDR4 2400 MHz SO-DIMM sockets to install up to 32 GB of RAM, as well as an M.2 2280 socket for SSD with SATA interface, typically 512GB. There is also room to install an additional 2.5-inch SSD, and on the left side we find a handy SD card reader.
A desktop CPU and GPU
The CPU is the AMD Ryzen 5 3400GE, a CPU manufactured with 4-core, 8-thread 12nm technology, clocked at 3.3 GHz (4.0 GHz in Turbo mode), with a surprising power. The Radeon Vega 11 GPU offers performance on par or better than an Nvidia GT 1030, and even the latest games run smoothly. This GPU has 2GB of VRAM assigned via BIOS, but can dynamically allocate as much RAM as it needs under load.
For the rest we find a classic configuration with a Intel AX200 Wifi6 card which also offers a Bluetooth 5.1 connection, as well as a fast network. In the front of the chassis we find a double microphone to control for example a virtual assistant under Windows 10. The case can be removed by simply pressing on the sides, so that you can access the internal hardware without the need for a screwdriver.
