Squid Game about to make a big comeback
Prepare yourself, as the beloved deadly game show is gearing up for a major comeback. During Netflix’s Tudum Global Fan Event in Brazil, exclusive new details about the second season of the highly successful South Korean thriller series, “Squid Game,” were unveiled.
In an exciting teaser for the upcoming season, a mix of familiar faces and fresh additions to the cast were announced. Lee Jung-jae, who portrays the financially struggling protagonist Seong Gi-hun, will be returning for another round. Joining him will be Lee Byung-hun, reprising his role as the enigmatic “Front Man,” and Wi Ha-jun, who plays the determined detective embroiled in the dangerous game while searching for his missing brother.
In addition to the returning cast members, the second season of “Squid Game” will introduce Yim Si-wan, Kang Ha-neul, Park Sung-hoon, and Yang Dong-geun to the ensemble.
One notable cast member from the first season, Oh Yeong-su, who portrayed the elderly and unassuming Oh Il-nam, has yet to be officially confirmed as part of the returning cast. However, his involvement in the game was revealed to be more intricate towards the end of the initial season.
As of now, a specific release date for the second season of “Squid Game” has not been announced.
