Within the lyrics of “Used to Be Young,” the artist reminisces about the periods in her life and career when she indulged in partying. Despite growing older and finding new significance in life, she conveyed that she doesn’t regret those experiences.

The song’s simple and stripped-down visual, showcases the artist walking along a dim path. She halts directly in front of the camera, wearing a Mickey Mouse t-shirt as a homage to her days on Disney Channel’s Hannah Montana.
